Date of Event : Mon Jun 5, 2017 1:06PM

THE KING IS BACK!!

The Berwick Cricket Club is proud to announce it has appointed ex Bushranger and Bear spearhead, Will Carr as Senior Coach for the 2017/18 season.

After a break from cricket due to business interests and family duties, the former fiery fast man returned to The Cave last year as our bowling coach and was very well received, particularly by our large crop of up and coming young quicks.

Will's record speaks for itself as a former captain/coach and dual premiership player of our club who went on to have a stellar career at Premier Level with Dandenong & St Kilda, whilst managing to represent Victoria at First Class Level on six occasions, taking 25 wickets at a mean average of 20.88.

He will be ably supported by our Cricket Operations Group, which will be headed again by Andrew Mazzagatti who did a superb job as manager in its inception last year.

Again we have a very experienced and talented group of leaders including Andrew Williams, who will again take on the role as Player Development Manager, gun new recruit  Matt Chasemore, superstar  Nathan Pilon, club champion Ryan Crawford, 1st X1 captain  Jarrod Goodes, club president Andrew Moore and of course Will himself as senior coach.

The club is very excited by Will's appointment and is extremely confident that with the support of the Cricket Ops Group, the club couldn't be in better hands as we strive for more on field success.

Stay tuned for info on pre-season training dates, practice matches & other announcements over the coming weeks.

Go Bears!
